Fiona and Olly's Wedding at The Orchid Hotel, Bournemouth

Yesterday, Alan and I had the pleasure of photographing the fantastic wedding of Fiona and Olly at The Orchid Hotel in Bournemouth. The weather could not have been more perfect as the sun shone from a perfect blue sky and the temperature was warm.

It was an early, 8.30am start for me at Fiona’s parents’ house where make up and hair was already underway. Fiona was chilled out but excited about her big day and it was nice to join in with the activities going on. Fiona was joined by her sister and her best friend, Helen and Catherine as the getting ready began. It wasn’t long before it was time for Fiona to slip into her beautiful, elegant halter neck bridal grown from Ellis Bridal, she really could not have chosen a more stunning dress. She made the perfect bride. As soon as I saw Fiona in her dress, I knew today was going to make for some great photos!

While all of this was going on, Alan met up with Olly, his dad, best man and ushers in Bournemouth Gardens, where handsome in their grey and teal suits, the boys posed for photos before heading off to the Orchid Hotel for the ceremony.

The ceremony was lovely, one of Fiona and Olly’s friends Zadie sang and there was not a dry eye in the house, not even from our groom Olly! It was a very special moment. The newly weds left the ceremony room and wandered out into the hotel courtyard where their guests met them with confetti and smiles.

After the group shots were taken, Alan and I took some of our favourite photos from this wedding on the hotel’s sumptuous sofas before the guests sat down for their wedding breakfast. The reception room looked wonderful decked out with teal accessories, the highlight of the tables were the 80 or so Poole Pottery vases hand thrown by Olly’s Dad especially for the occasion and the beautiful and ornate wedding cake made by Olly’s Mum!

After the speeches it was time to head to some of Bournemouth’s famous features for some more photos. We found ourselves on the pier, on the beach and in the Upper Gardens where some beautiful contemporary portraits of the happy couple were taken before heading back to the hotel for the evening’s events.

Alan and I would like to wish Fiona and Olly a long and happy marriage, thank for choosing us for your wedding photographers. Have a fab honeymoon in Malaysia and we look forward to seeing you when you return in early May!!

Janine and Adrian's Rhinefield House Wedding

Janine and Adrian had a wonderful Spring wedding at the spectacular Rhinefield House Hotel in the heart of the beautiful New Forest and we were there to capture the day for the happy couple!

After arriving nice and early, Donna made her way to meet Janine and her attendants who were busy being attended to by the hairdresser from Eskape in Ringwood and the Virgin Vie make up artist. Whilst Alan went off into the hotel grounds taking photos of the amazing architecture. It was not long before the stunning bouquets arrived that composed of deep red roses and beautiful elegant calla lilies Arcade Flowers of Ringwood had done a perfect job.

The boys arrived looking very handsome in their morning suits and cravats and Alan captured some wonderful shots of them all together. Soon it was time to make our way to the Walker Suite where Janine met the registrar from the Ringwood Office and once all the legalities had been performed and it was time get married!  Janine looking beautiful entered the Grand Hall while Adrian stood at the front awaiting the arrival of his bride. The ceremony went with just one hitch, the marriage of Janine and Adrian, as friends and family and little Haydn all watched and enjoyed the proceedings.

Once the ceremony was over it was out to the front of the hotel for confetti throwing and family photographs. A drinks reception was held in the Kings' Room while the bride and groom made their way into the grounds for some romantic portraits.
