Yesterday we had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Danielle and David. We woke to find the sky a little overcast, but kept our fingers crossed for fine weather! And judging by the photos it pretty much paid off. It was an early one for us, Danielle and David had booked their wedding ceremony for 11.30am, so it was an 8am start for me with the girls at Danielle’s parents house and a 9am one for Alan at the Miramar Hotel in Bournemouth where he set about photographing the boys.
As soon as I arrived, it was clear that it was all systems go! Danielle’s friend Charlie and top London hairstylist had already started on transforming the girls’ hair and Rachel Farrow from Bridal Beauty was opening her make up case. It was up to me then to find the all important dress, and was I in for a treat! Danielle has chosen a truly beautiful and stunning wedding gown, Sabelle by Maggie Sottero in a beautiful soft gold colour. I for one loved it and started to capture all its detail in my photographs. Soon after I found the accessories and stared to photograph those too, in between capturing Danielle and her bridesmaids, Amanda and Hannah undergoing their transformations.
It was not long before the flowers arrived and it was time for Danielle to slip into that perfect dress of hers and make her way, accompanied by her father Paul in their wonderful burgundy Bentley on her way to St Hubert’s Church in Corfe Mullen. Mum Sue and the bridesmaids followed in a equally pristine car.
At the church, the nerves set in for Danielle, but she managed to maintain her composure as graced the arm of her father to meet her handsome groom David at the altar. The wedding ceremony over, it was outside for the formal photos and acres of confetti, the sun shone and it really couldn’t have been a more perfect English wedding. Soon Danielle and David were whisked away in style to their reception at the Miramar Hotel in Bournemouth.
Once at the hotel, the guest enjoyed the sunshine whilst enjoying champagne and canapés as more photos were taken. Soon it was inside for the wedding breakfast and the all important speeches. These were sincere and heart felt and everyone toasted the happy couple. After the speeches the bridal party were driven down onto the beach to make the most of the splendid evening sunshine, the younger children enjoyed the sand and the sea and couldn’t resist just a little paddle. We took some gorgeous photos here before heading back to the hotel for Danielle and David’s first dance as husband and wife. Alan and I left at this point as the guests tucked into a sumptuous ‘hog roast’ and danced late into the evening.
Alan and I would like to wish Danielle and David a wonderful honeymoon in the Maldives and would like to thank them for making our job of photographing their wedding a really enjoyable one. Below is a sneak preview of some of their photographs from the big day, with the remainder being online in the Client area of our website from 16th May 2010.
