We both knew that this wedding was going to be special though and we knew that a lot of time and effort had gone into getting every last minute detail right, all that planning certainly paid off as the day went brilliantly from start to finish.
I met up with Samantha, close friend Sophie and Sam’s parents at the house she shares with David and their gorgeous daughter Poppy. I was excited about seeing Sam’s dress as I knew it would be very special and I was not disappointed. Sam had chosen an unusual but classically styled stunning gown by designer Spanish designer Pepe Botella. I loved it instantly. From the satin bodice down to the pleated tulle frills, it really was a Samantha dress. She was accompanied by five lovely bridesmaids too, nieces Cameron, Riley, Mia and Lola and her very own daughter Poppy. The classy theme continued with pale pink silk dupion dresses designed by Royal Wedding designer Nicki Macfarlane. They looked picture perfect in them with their matching ballerina pump shoes.
Alan met up with David, his brother and best man, Matthew and his parents at their family home to capture the preparations there. David had chosen beautifully tailored navy blue suits combined with a simple by elegant white shirt with spotty navy and white ties, they looked very handsome! It was not long before the boys headed to the Curlew to meet up with the other ushers, all friends from David’s school days, Neil, George and Chris.
On arrival at Parley Manor, Alan took some more photos before David took his place in the garden to await the arrival of his bride. Samantha arrived relaxed and gorgeous, and accompanied by her father, walked the short walk from the manor house to make her vows in front of assembled friends and family. Congratulations Mr and Mrs Town!
The guests sipped Champagne, the photos were taken and it was into the marquee for the wedding breakfast. The marquee was adorned with oodels of fresh flowers, the favours were personalised bags of sweets and soon the guests took their places for the meal. It was then time for the speeches which were entertaining but wholly appropriate. More congratulations were in store for the happy couple as they cut the beautiful cake that had been lovingly made by David’s mum, my Aunt :-)
The evening reception commenced with a live bands, lot of dancing and lots of smiles and laughter as the celebrations continued. David and Sam head off to Mexico for their honeymoon, we hope they have a wonderful time and we look forward to meeting up with then on their return.
Live, Love, Laugh and Be Happy!!!
